Dust-free cloths are typically woven from materials such as polyester fibers, resulting in a soft and durable fabric with excellent wiping and cleaning capabilities. They can be washed and reused. Dust-free paper, on the other hand, is usually made from wood pulp or chemical fibers using airlaid technology. Its texture is closer to that of paper, and it is often used for wrapping, padding, or single-use wiping. While it offers extremely high cleanliness, it is generally not reusable.
Ordinary cleaning cloths and paper towels shed a large amount of fibers and particles and may contain chemical contaminants such as silicone oil. Dust-free cloths/papers, on the other hand, undergo special cleaning and processing, resulting in extremely low particle shedding, no fiber debris, and anti-static properties. This effectively prevents secondary contamination and meets the stringent requirements for microscopic contamination control in cleanrooms.
High-quality cleanroom wipes are designed for repeated washing. However, they must be washed, dried, and packaged using pure water and cleanroom-specific detergents in a strictly controlled cleanroom environment to prevent degradation of their performance (such as liquid absorption rate and particle generation). Ordinary industrial or household washing will completely destroy their cleanroom properties.
The selection is primarily based on four key factors:
Cleanliness level: Choose products with appropriate ion residue and particle release levels according to environmental requirements.
Material and structure: Consider liquid absorption capacity, abrasion resistance, and the fineness of the wiping material (e.g., knitted, woven, non-woven fabric).
Solvent compatibility: Ensure the material can withstand the chemical solvents you are using, such as alcohol and acetone.
Packaging: Choose appropriate packaging such as vacuum bags or cleanroom bags to maintain the product’s cleanliness before use.

Spotless, precise protection
Scenario: Cleaning large glass substrates (up to 2.5m x 2.2m or larger for Gen 8.5 lines and above) before and after critical processes such as coating (ITO, metal circuitry), photolithography, and etching.
Using ultra-large, ultra-low dust-emission knitted cleanroom wipes, typically in conjunction with high-purity DI (deionized water) and megasonic cleaning equipment, for roller or flat wiping. The cloth must possess excellent liquid absorption and dust-locking capabilities.
In the cutting, release, and lamination processes of flexible optical films such as polarizers, brightness enhancement films, and quantum dot films, microfiber nonwoven fabric or specially treated soft knitted fabric with permanent antistatic (ESD) properties is used. This allows for the gentle removal of particles and foreign matter from the lamination surface by dry wiping or wiping with a very small amount of solvent, preventing bubbles or bright spots after lamination.
Clean the precision metal masks used for OLED pixel deposition, as well as the substrates before encapsulation.
Use ultra-high cleanliness, silicone-free and free of any volatiles (extremely low LPC/NVR) cleanroom wipes, along with specialized cleaning solvents. Typically, a Class 1 (ISO Class 1) or higher cleanliness standard is required, and the operation must be performed in a Class 100 or better cleanroom.
Clean the ITO sensor pattern, the ink screen printing area of the cover glass, and the final product.
Use lint-free cloths with low chemical residue and good solvent compatibility. For wiping the finished product, pre-wetted lint-free paper with internally encapsulated high-purity isopropanol or other solvents is often used to ensure cleanliness and consistency with each wipe and avoid secondary contamination.
Polyester microfiber knitted fabric is preferred due to its fine, soft fibers and strong dust-locking ability; or high-grade spunlace nonwoven fabric. Precise laser edge sealing is essential to prevent fiber shedding at the edges.
The product itself must have extremely low levels of leached particles and ions, typically meeting Class 10 (ISO Class 3) to Class 1 standards. Non-volatile residue (NVR) and liquid particle (LPC) counts must be strictly controlled to prevent chemical contaminants from forming stubborn “fingerprints” or haze on the screen surface. It must possess permanent antistatic properties, with a surface resistivity typically between 10^6 and 10^9 Ω/sq, effectively preventing the adsorption of particles from the environment.
Packaging and Delivery: Production and packaging must be carried out in a Class 1000 or higher cleanroom, using vacuum or nitrogen packaging, and unpacking and use must be done in a cleanroom.
