The following data is representative of the Bupclean® 53 GSM, 4×4 inch cleanroom wiper, tested according to IEST standards. It meets the requirements for ISO Class 5 and above cleanrooms.
| Test Parameter | Method | Typical Value | Industry Limit (ISO 5 area) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Particle release (≥0.5 µm) | IEST-RP-CC004.3 | ≤ 25 × 10⁶ /m² | ≤ 50 × 10⁶ /m² |
| Particle release (≥5.0 µm) | IEST-RP-CC004.3 | ≤ 0.5 × 10⁶ /m² | ≤ 1.5 × 10⁶ /m² |
| Fiber release (≥100 µm) | Microscopic count | ≤ 5 fibers/cm² | ≤ 10 fibers/cm² |
| NVR (IPA extract) | IEST-RP-CC005 | ≤ 0.12 mg/g | ≤ 0.20 mg/g |
| Ionic residue – Chloride (Cl⁻) | Ion chromatography | ≤ 0.5 µg/g | ≤ 1.0 µg/g |
| Ionic residue – Sodium (Na⁺) | Ion chromatography | ≤ 0.4 µg/g | ≤ 1.0 µg/g |
| Liquid absorption rate (DI water) | Vertical wicking | 1.2 cm/s | ≥ 0.8 cm/s |
Before opening – Remove the outer carton in the cleanroom gowning area. Wipe the inner bag surface with alcohol before transferring into the cleanroom.
Opening the bag – Tear open from the side seal (do not rip violently). If the bag does not have a re‑sealable zipper, use a cleanroom clip to reseal partially used bags.
Wiping technique – Use unidirectional overlapping strokes (S‑pattern or straight line) to avoid redepositing particles. Fold the wiper to expose fresh surfaces, but avoid using the same side twice.
Compatible liquids – DI water, IPA, ethanol, acetone (test compatibility first). Not recommended for strong acids/bases or hydrofluoric acid.
Our clients from semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device, and aerospace industries trust our cleanroom wipers for consistent performance, high absorption, and low particle generation. Here’s what they have to say.

We have broken down the core products and actual test data into a clear, at-a-glance comparison table across six industries (semiconductor wafers, OLED panels, precision optics, biopharmaceuticals, automotive electronics, and new energy batteries). The table includes the wiper or cleanroom consumable model for each industry, key physical parameters (particle shedding, water absorbency, ionic residues, etc.), and applicable compliance standards (SEMI, GMP, IATF 16949, ISO 10993, etc.)
