1. PVC top layer with conductive stripes
The striped pattern is not just decorative. The conductive stripes (carbon or copper) are embedded at regular intervals (typically 20–30 mm spacing) to ensure that any point on the mat has a low‑resistance path to the ground snap. Surface resistance measured point‑to‑point (5 cm apart):
| Test condition | Resistance (Ω) | Pass/fail (10⁶ – 10⁹) |
|---|---|---|
| New, clean | 3.5 x 10⁷ | Pass |
| After 1000 wipes with IPA | 4.2 x 10⁷ | Pass |
| After 6 months continuous use (lab) | 6.1 x 10⁷ | Pass |
2. Polyester bottom layer
The bottom layer provides insulation from bench or floor, preventing static discharge to unwanted paths. It also offers anti‑slip properties, keeping the mat in place. On floors, the bottom layer adds cushioning for anti‑fatigue benefit.
3. Striped visual inspection
The blue and white stripes make dirt, cuts, and wear immediately visible. If a stripe is broken, the mat’s conductivity is compromised – easy to spot.
4. Chemical resistance
PVC top layer resists most common cleanroom chemicals. Tested with IPA (no effect), ethanol (no effect), acetone (slight surface dulling after 1 hour – avoid prolonged contact).
5. ESD performance
Meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirement for worksurface resistance to ground (<10⁹ Ω). When properly grounded with a 1 MΩ resistor cord, the mat provides safe static drain.

| Width (mm) | Length options | Part number suffix | Typical application |

We have broken down the core products and actual test data into a clear, at-a-glance comparison table across six industries (semiconductor wafers, OLED panels, precision optics, biopharmaceuticals, automotive electronics, and new energy batteries). The table includes the wiper or cleanroom consumable model for each industry, key physical parameters (particle shedding, water absorbency, ionic residues, etc.), and applicable compliance standards (SEMI, GMP, IATF 16949, ISO 10993, etc.)
